Let me take you on a ride!    (short summary of my life)

I was originally bought in Dallas Texas by a man known as "Papa" from the Thompson family. Papa and his family took me in and took care of me till one day he decided to store me for better days. He took every one of my parts off my frame and labelled them in tons of boxes. He wanted to restore me with his son but he ended up passing too soon. Years after Papa passed his son Gary started a first class restoration that included replacing all my wood from the frame to the top of my body.  Gary also chromed all outside parts like my bumper, door handles and my grill.

Gary soon realized he couldn't afford nor had the time to bring me back to life as he wanted. Gary found a man named Leo Wood who's been restoring cars all his life and decided to give me one last chance of hope.  Leo who lives in New Caney, TX drove up to New Mexico to put me and all my box's on a trailer and head me back to TEXAS!

Leo picked up where Gary had left off and starting putting me back together one piece at a time, one label at a time and one screw at a time.  Sadly half way through the restoration my new owner Leo was diagnosed with Leukemia and to start treatment immediately.  Leo would go get his chemo and come home to work on me with the help of his son, nephew and neighbor. On days when Leo didn't have much energy, he would sit in his chair next to me instructing his help on how to rebuild me.  Leo's wife claims that I am the reason he beat Leukemia, I gave him hope and I allowed him to keep his mind off his illness.  Leo is in Remission now but decided I will be his last classic car restoration!
